The bells on the Catholic Church were rung by young men who had to sit in the belfry and strike it with a mallet. I can't even imagine how loud it must have been for them!

The procession headed into the Catholic church on the Dia de Guadalupe. It was fun to observe.

Christmas Dinner with the entire mission at our annual Mission Christmas party. Notice the "head table" with AP's, President and Hermana Alvarado, and us. The Sisters had their own table in the middle and all the elders were around the outside. This is a very large hall (addition) in the first church building in the City. Spencer served in this building (original part) 45 years ago.

The Guatemalan scripture covers and bags, t-shirts for Grandpa and Spanish keyboard and speakers for Grandma were all appreciated!

Christmas Dinner at our apartment in Chiquimula, Guatemala with the four elders serving in our area. It was a first American Christmas dinner for three of the four elders. Everyone enjoyed it.
