Do You Need any thing in the Mercado?

This is the corner where the Mercado starts. I will get a better picture later. You can buy such a huge variety of fruits and vegetables here--fresh from the farm. However, they do jack up the prices for the norteamericanos, so today, Tere, our criada de casa went with me, so that I could get better prices on lots of different healthy food. Of course once we get it home we clean in a water bath that is treated with soap and chloro to kill any organizisms left from the soil and/or handling. We take all the recommended precautions and so far we are healthy! :)
