This is a garden on the roof of a house--pretty efficient use of land--and the cows can't get into the crop. They also hang out clothes and other type of "yard things". Reminds me of biblical stories that refer to the roof tops like they were an oft used part of the house. But the garden idea was unique even for Guatemala.
