While making visits in Esquipulas, we had the fun privilege of happening upon a mock battle. They had actual machetes. With the skin colors depicted on the masks, I can only guess that it had something to do with Spaniards conquering the indiginous peoples of the Americas. It was fascinating to watch and beautifully choreographed. Their feet never stopped moving.
