Spiritual Experience
Recently I was serving as coordinator in initiatories. The last temple patron left about 1 1/2 hours before our shift ended and I asked another worker to serve as a patron. One of the sister missionaries was frustrated that I didn't just shut it down. When she is tired she feels like everyone else must be too tired to work as well. Fortunately for both of us, she was moved to another assignment. I chose to continue the ordinances in initiatory. There were just two of us officiating and one patron. About half way thru her list, during the ordinance, I suddenly felt a full/tight feeling in my chest and tears sprang to my eyes. I could hardly speak to continue. I didn't say anything to anyone else at the time, however when we finished I asked the patron, "Did you notice anything different tonight?" She answered that yes--she pointed to the name--"the spirit was REALLY strong when we did her work!" I am sure that this sister was present with us and was so very grateful that we had continued the work for more time on that night. I feel so very blessed to have stood in the presence of an angel. I can testify that the veil is thin and those in the Spirit World are grateful for the work that is performed in their behalf. I wanted to share that testimony with you tonight.
