Farewell dinner Saturday night
On Saturday night we traditionally go out with the other Anglo missionaries from the temple. It is our one opportunity to visit in English, guilt-free, as in we aren't leaving any out. This past Saturday was especially fun because Sally Gunnell and Carol Jackson, who have been the mission nurses for the Quetzaltenango Mission joined us, as well as the Hargars who work in the mission office. They have been faithfully attending the temple. They are good people. There are many people we will miss when we go home.

Zoe Maes and I wore similar wiipils, so that was fun. And do you see the handsome "Bobby" that had for my date? He is a pretty good guy!
One final note. I want to share with a word in Quiche with you. When some of the temple workers were talking about us being "finished" they said that the same word means "dead" in Quiche. So now you know: "Ixkamic" means either "termino" or "murio". And we are almost ixkamic!! Take your pick on the meaning...
