The temple recorder, Alirio Diaz, and his family invited the temple president and the three pairs who are leaving this month over for a meal at their house. It was fun. They set up tables on the patio/carport.
A couple from our ward, the Colindres, invited us out to eat on Saturday in the middle of the day. They also invited the sister missionaries, who might be transferred this week.
Spencer taught our last FHE here. He did a good job. Then I was in charge of the activity. We did a memory matching game. It was a fun Monday night

Friday, President and Sister Galvez took us out to dinner,as well as the Meadows, who will be leaving in one week. We took pictures before we left the temple grounds.
While we were waiting at the restaurant a group of cowboys came in. One of them had on the tipico men's clothes. One woman, had her baby wrapped and had on tipico traije, but the crazy high heeled shoes from China. Such a contrast!
One last picture of my friend, Hna. Miriam Tobar. She was born minus one leg and several fingers. She was adopted by a couple in New Mexico. After seven years, her parents wanted her back and it was a big international incident. She had to come back to Guatemala. She spoke no Spanish and the paparazzi were snapping pictures and sticking a microphone in her face. Her adopted parents have continued to provide prosthesis as she grew. She is now 21 years old. The really crazy thing, is that not long after she came back her parents were divorced and both live different places in the USA. She was raised by her grandmother. The good thing is, she was raised in the church. She used to be a temple worker. She walks the 2 miles to church--on her prosthetic leg, and thinks nothing of it. I can't walk far--with too good legs (but my back and heart aren't quite as good as they used to be). She is very inspiring.
