People harvest their vegetables each evening, pack their truck and go to market the next morning. They often have a load of people loaded in with the vegetables.

This man has a booth to sell plastic and other pots. By his foot is his daughter.
Part of the market is preparing and selling food.

This taxi pushes through the crowds. You just better get out of the way!

These cheap shoes come from China. It has ruined the business of making shoes--especially the leather sandals.

There is most everything in the market!

They ask for a certain amount, but then sometimes you get them to lower their price. Some people try to barter them down. If their asking price is reasonable, I pay that. It's so cheap and we are so blessed. I pay it so they can make a living.

Babies are raised in the market. This mom is getting ready to deliver the "goods" to keep the baby happy. They sleep in blankets strapped to the mom's back.
We've been warned about pick-pockets. But I haven't had an problems. I keep the wallet in a front pocket and keep small currency in another pocket. It's rather fun, but you keep an eye out and enjoy. After shopping I sometimes pack it back up the hill, but if the load is too heavy I pay a taxi about $3-4 to run me home.
The market pictures are interesting to me. I hope you like them. I'll talk about our real work on another day.
Love,
Spencer/Dad
